Kelly Gilliland

In early 2000, Kelly Gilliland was hired as Vice President of Horizon Mortgage Corporation, working primarily in permanent financing, construction financing and real estate sales. Kelly’s experience includes self storage facilities, medical office buildings, retail, industrial, restaurants, mixed-use projects, and apartments. She has also financed larger equipment loans including medical imaging equipment as well as provided business financing. Since 2000, she has also been active in providing the construction financing of commercial and large residential projects as well as providing equity and joint venture partnerships for several condominium projects and single-family subdivision developments.

Previous to Horizon Mortgage Corporation, Kelly Gilliland was employed by Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, Inc. They are the Developers of the award-winning, 8500 acre, master-planned community Lakewood Ranch, which encompasses all aspects of residential and commercial development. Kelly worked there five years rising from Executive Assistance to the Vice President of Real Estate to Commercial Sales Manager of Lakewood Ranch Realty Company. During this period she earned her Real Estate Brokerage License from the State of Florida.

Kelly Gilliland is from Sarasota, Florida, and after graduating from Florida State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in International Relations, she returned to Sarasota.

Kelly is an alumnus of Leadership Sarasota, which is a Chamber-sponsored group of recognized leaders within the community, as well as Phi Mu National Sorority. She is also an active member of both the Sarasota and Manatee Chambers of Commerce and The Downtown Partnership. She has served as Assistant Treasurer to the Commercial Investment Division of the Sarasota Board of Realtors and has been actively involved with many real estate organizations including the International Council of Shopping Centers. She is also an active member of Church of the Redeemer and serves on their nursery school committee and is a sponsor of Mote Marine Laboratory on Longboat Key, Florida.
