John W. Herbert, Jr., Esq.

Mr. Herbert is a Vice President of Horizon Mortgage Corporation. He has held officer level positions with Wells Fargo Realty Finance, BankAmerica Realty Finance, SunTrust Mortgage and South Trust Bank. He has originated, underwritten and structured over $1 Billion of commercial and residential real estate projects. He received his JD Degree from Golden Gate University in 1975, and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1976. He received a Master of Arts in Business Degree with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Florida in 2000. Mr. Herbert is a Florida Licensed Mortgage Broker and a Licensed Real Estate Salesman. He is a Member of the Advisory Board of University of Florida’s Center for Real Estate Studies and a Member of the State Bar of California (inactive).

Mr. Herbert specializes in underwriting and arranging both corporate and real estate structured debt and/or equity credit facilities and oversees the Corporate Finance Group of Horizon Mortgage Corporation.
